Insufficient physical activity

Low physical activity is a key risk factor for non-communicable diseases and the 4th leading cause of early death worldwide.

According to the results of studies conducted by Duke University Medical Center, an inactive, sedentary lifestyle leads to an increase in visceral fat, which accumulates in excess around the internal organs.

The World Health Organization recommends that adults engage in physical activity for at least two and a half hours per week. Children should move even more, at least one hour a day. For those who want to maintain or reduce their weight, more effort may be required. Walking, cycling, swimming, sports, outdoor activities, and games are all great ways to give your body the necessary load.
